About The Position
Jovie is hiring experienced, engaging caregivers to provide in-home care for infants and toddlers with local families throughout Redwood City. The role offers full-time or part-time work with daytime hours, supportive leadership, and opportunities for growth. Assignments vary according to family needs, caregiver availability, and scheduling preferences. Most assignments involve infants and toddlers, though some may occasionally include older children. Caregivers provide safe, nurturing care, support feeding, naps, and daily routines, encourage learning through reading and age-appropriate activities, communicate with parents about the child’s day, and create a positive environment for children to learn and grow. Caregivers are matched with families after screening, reference checks, orientation, and training. Pay is $23–$26 per hour, with overtime pay; employees are paid every two weeks by direct deposit.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of infant childcare experience.
- Dependable and professional.
- Communicate well with parents and children.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Provide at least two references related to childcare work and one character reference.
- Be at least 18 years old.
Nice To Haves
- Monday–Friday availability is preferred.
- Experience may come from nannying, babysitting, daycare, preschool, church nursery, or other childcare settings.
