About The Position

East Wind Nannies is recruiting a full-time nanny for a professional family in the Society Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia. The nanny will primarily care for a 2-month-old infant while her 3-year-old brother is at school, then care for both children after he returns home. The family is seeking an experienced, dependable career nanny who hopes to build a long-term relationship with the family and become a trusted part of the children's lives.

The role includes supporting the infant's daily care and development, including feeding, tummy time, reading, walks, and developmental milestones. Afternoons include engaging the preschooler in play and outings, encouraging curiosity and good manners, and helping with picky eating. The family also values a clean, organized home and requests help with family laundry, washing bottles, vacuuming, sweeping, and simple dinner preparation.

The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Tuesday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM; and Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with 45 guaranteed hours per week. The hourly rate is $27–$32. The family appreciates reliability, flexibility, and strong communication because a parent regularly commutes to New York and occasional schedule changes may occur. A parking spot is available for the nanny's car, or the family can provide a vehicle for nanny use.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of previous nanny experience.
• A valid driver's license, a vehicle, and a clean driving record.
• TDAP, MMR, and flu vaccinations.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive daily care for a 2-month-old infant, including feeding, tummy time, reading, and neighborhood walks.
• Support the infant's development and celebrate developmental milestones.
• Care for the 3-year-old after he returns from school and engage him in age-appropriate play and activities.
• Plan or participate in outings such as playground visits, museums, and playdates.
• Encourage children's curiosity and good manners, and respond patiently and creatively to picky eating.
• Help maintain a clean and organized home through family laundry, washing bottles, vacuuming, and sweeping.
• Prepare simple dinners.
• Communicate reliably with the parents and adapt to occasional schedule changes.
