About The Position

East Wind Nannies is seeking a full-time career nanny for a professional family in Society Hill, Philadelphia. The nanny will care primarily for a 2-month-old baby girl during the day and care for her 3-year-old brother after he returns from school. The family hopes to find someone who will stay with them long term and become a trusted, familiar part of the children’s lives.

The role includes infant care and support for developmental milestones, as well as engaging the toddler in play, outings, and everyday activities. The family enjoys exploring Philadelphia and values a nanny who encourages curiosity, teaches good manners, and makes ordinary moments enjoyable. The nanny will also assist with family laundry, washing bottles, vacuuming, sweeping, and simple dinner preparation.

The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; Tuesday, 7:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; and Friday, 8:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., for 45 guaranteed hours per week. The hourly rate is $27–$32. The listed start date is February 1st. A parking spot is available for a nanny’s own car, or the family can provide a car for nanny use.

The family values warmth, reliability, organization, professionalism, playfulness, open communication, and flexibility when schedules change. A clean driving record and a driver’s license are required; the posting also says the nanny must have a vehicle. Required vaccines are TDAP, MMR, and flu. The position offers one week of paid vacation chosen by the family, one week chosen by the nanny, three sick or personal days, and all major holidays. A $300 nanny referral bonus is paid 30 days after placement.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of previous nanny experience.
• Experience and confidence caring for a young infant.
• A valid driver’s license and a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive care for the 2-month-old, including feeding, tummy time, reading, walks, and support for developmental milestones.
