About The Position

Full Time live-out Educator/Nanny/Family Assistant required for a loving SoHo family with 3 children (ages 4, 9 and 11 yrs old) starting ASAP. You will be responsible for all child-related duties including interacting with their children in a stimulating, and age-appropriate way, with a primary focus on the older children. During the hours that the children are at school, you would support the family with broader coordination and execution of family management tasks (e.g., schedules, activities, groceries, organizing, etc.). The candidate should enjoy working alongside a supportive household team. To be successful in this role, you will need to be engaging, organized and capable of operating in a busy household. Some travel during the summer and occasional overnights are expected (the family owns a home in CT). The family has a hypoallergenic Goldendoodle.

Requirements

Authorization to work in the US
A clean driver's license
An understanding of managing a household with children
Readiness to manage house related tasks (schedules, travel, logistics) to ensure the smooth running of a busy home!
A well-suited demeanor for working with multiple school age children
Experience working with children with ADHD and/or special needs
Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
Education (four-year college degree from an accredited university) or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
Ability to commit for a minimum of 2 years for all permanent positions
An open and flexible schedule and ability to travel

Nice To Haves

Candidates with a teaching background are strongly preferred, especially special-needs educators (oldest child is neurodiverse/ADHD).
Preference for candidates who are comfortable driving.
The ideal person should have strong attention to detail, be reliable, show initiative, and have good instincts with daily tasks.

Responsibilities

Support the family with broader coordination and execution of family management tasks (e.g., schedules, activities, groceries, organizing, etc.) during school hours.
Manage house related tasks (schedules, travel, logistics) to ensure the smooth running of a busy home.
Complete all child related duties (including, but not limited to: meal preparation, cleaning up/tidying bedroom and play areas, laundry, researching and planning playdates and activities, etc.)
Travel during the summer and occasional overnights are expected.
