About The Position

As a Music Teacher at Guitar Center, you will teach music lessons according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s musical growth and enjoyment. The role also contributes to a welcoming store culture grounded in integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. You will collaborate with the store Lessons Lead to schedule lessons and maintain student headcount based on community needs. You will communicate frequently with students and families about progress and goals, build trusting relationships, and provide a positive customer experience. You may also assist with customer service as needed and perform additional assigned duties.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule lessons and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Help students grow, develop, and enjoy playing music.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and their families to build trusting relationships.
Share students’ goals and progress with students and/or parents frequently.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
