About The Position

As a Music Teacher at Guitar Center, you will teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment, support students’ musical development, and create an enjoyable learning experience while nurturing a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. You will partner with the store Lessons Lead and work closely with students and their families through frequent communication about progress and goals. You may also assist with Customer service as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the applicant is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area the applicant will teach.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with Customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child.
Communicate students’ progress and goals to students and/or parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
