About The Position

As a Music Teacher at Guitar Center, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student's musical growth and enjoyment. The role also includes building trusting relationships with students and families, communicating about student progress and goals, and helping provide a positive customer experience.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, build trusting relationships, and recognize parents' knowledge of their child's music education.
Share students' goals and progress frequently with students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
