About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will work to increase student count and ensure each student continues to grow, develop, and enjoy playing music while nurturing a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also involves providing an excellent customer experience and helping build and maintain long-term student relationships.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the applicant is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed, helping build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
Communicate each student’s progress to the student and/or their parents.
Share students’ and/or parents’ goals and progress frequently.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
