About The Position

The Music Teacher teaches music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. The role focuses on growing student enrollment and helping each student continue to develop and enjoy playing music, while supporting a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The teacher also contributes to a positive customer experience and works with students and families to build trusting relationships and communicate goals and progress.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area the candidate will teach.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Partner with students and families through frequent communication, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their child.
Communicate each student’s progress to the student and/or parents.
Frequently share students’ and/or parents’ goals and progress.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
