About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s growth and enjoyment of playing music. The role also contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and may include assisting with customer service as needed. You will partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs. You will communicate frequently with students and families about progress and goals, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their child.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area the candidate will teach.

Responsibilities

Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Help students continue to grow, develop, and enjoy playing music.
Assist with customer service as needed to build and maintain long-term student relationships through a positive experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, sharing student goals and progress.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
