About The Position
Music & Arts is seeking a music educator to teach private lessons and inspire students. The Music Teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels, and builds positive relationships with students and parents through communication, goal-setting, and progress updates. The role partners with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching and helping students grow as musicians.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of music teaching experience, especially with piano.
Nice To Haves
- Teaching experience with voice or related instruments.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
- Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
- 8 or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments.
Responsibilities
- Teach music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels.
- Communicate regularly with students and parents, set goals, and provide progress updates.
- Partner with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention.
- Use musical expertise to inspire students and foster their growth.
