About The Position
Guitar Center instructors teach music lessons using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. They help students grow, develop, and enjoy playing music while contributing to a welcoming culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. Instructors communicate with students or their parents about progress, as applicable, and may assist with customer service issues to help provide a positive experience and retain students. Successful instructors are passionate about music, focused on student needs, proactive in identifying opportunities and issues, and effective communicators. They are organized, adaptable, and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of work experience in music, education, or a related field, or a bachelor's degree.
- Ability to pass Guitar Center-specific training and certifications.
- Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the subject area to be taught: drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Responsibilities
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
- Communicate with students or parents about each student's progress, where applicable.
- Assist with customer service issues as needed and help create a positive experience that supports long-term student retention.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
