About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will work to increase student count and ensure each student continues to grow, develop, and enjoy playing music while nurturing a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also supports an excellent Customer experience and helps build and maintain long-term student relationships. You will partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs, communicate with students and families about progress and goals, and provide Customer service as needed. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area the candidate will teach.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with Customer service as needed to build and maintain long-term students by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, building trusting relationships and embracing parents' knowledge of their child.
Communicate each student's progress to the student and/or parent.
Frequently share students' and/or parents' goals and progress.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
