About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking an educator who is a skilled musician and dedicated to empowering learners. The Music Teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment, teaches private music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels, and helps students build a lifelong relationship with music. The company handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching and inspiring students. The role also involves communicating with students and parents about goals and progress and partnering with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention.

The listed pay is $15 per hour for non-teaching work and $10.50–$21 per hour for teaching, depending on background and experience. Eligible musician employees may take gig leave to perform and return to their job after a tour. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of music teaching experience.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
