About The Position

As a Music Teacher at Guitar Center, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s growth, development, and enjoyment of playing music. The role also contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and focuses on providing an excellent customer experience. You will partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs, assist with customer service as needed, and communicate regularly with students and families about progress and goals. Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
Share students’ goals and progress with students and/or their parents frequently.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
