About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a Music Teacher to teach and inspire students through private music lessons. The teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels, helping them develop their musical abilities and build a lifelong relationship with music. The role includes communicating with students and parents about goals and progress, and partnering with store teams on lesson scheduling and student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching.

The posted pay is $12 per hour for non-teaching work and $13–$24 per hour for teaching, depending on background and experience. Eligible musicians may take gig leave to perform and return to their job after a tour. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of music teaching experience.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• At least 8 years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
