About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking skilled musicians and dedicated educators to teach private music lessons and inspire students. The teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels. The company handles administrative work, while the teacher focuses on instruction and student development. The role includes building relationships with students and parents through regular communication, goal-setting, and progress updates, and partnering with store teams on lesson scheduling and student retention. Pay is $12 per hour for non-teaching work and $13–$24 per hour for teaching, depending on background and experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of music teaching experience.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
