About The Position
School of Rock Waldwick is seeking enthusiastic, flexible part-time Music Teachers to guide students on their musical journeys. We offer lessons across 5 core instruments: Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keys, and Vocals. We are currently experiencing high demand and especially seeking instructors who can teach Drums and Guitar/Bass. At School of Rock, we don’t teach music to put on shows; we put on shows to teach music. Our students are in actual rock bands, making for an exceptional, high-energy teaching experience! We take care of all the administrative headaches so you can focus entirely on mentoring the next generation of rockstars.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience teaching music and/or performing music professionally.
- Solid knowledge of music theory and the ability to confidently read music notation.
- Available Shifts: Monday through Thursday (3:00 PM – 9:00 PM) and Fridays (3:00 PM – 7:00 PM).
- Must have a steady, reliable schedule and be regularly available a minimum of 2 days a week.

- An ideal candidate is a working musician who also has formal music school training.
Responsibilities
- Teach private music lessons across a wide range of student ages and skill levels using our patented curriculum.
- Create a safe, cool, and encouraging atmosphere that helps students achieve musical proficiency.
- Help students prepare to hit the stage for our live, performance-based rock shows.
- Comfortably navigate our digital teaching tools after our paid training.
- Keep a professional log of each lesson following our simple template.
