About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help grow student enrollment and ensure students continue to develop and enjoy playing music while supporting a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role includes partnering with the store Lessons Lead, supporting customer service as needed, and maintaining frequent communication with students and families about goals and progress.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the applicant is proficient.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term students by creating a positive experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child.
Share each student’s goals and progress frequently with the student and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
