About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach drum lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will work to increase student count and help students continue to grow, develop, and enjoy playing music, while supporting a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role includes collaborating with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students, providing customer service as needed, and building trusting partnerships with students and families through frequent communication about student goals and progress.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term students by creating a great experience.
Partner with students and families through frequent communication and trusting relationships.
Communicate student progress and goals frequently with students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
