Drum Teacher - Louisville, KY
About The Position
Ensemble Schools is seeking an experienced, professional drum instructor to teach in person on a part-time basis in Louisville, Kentucky. Teachers may set their availability within the school’s open hours. Consistent availability is valued, with preference given to candidates available on Mondays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The role is with Kentucky Arts Academy, which provides lessons in drums and other instruments to children ages six and older, from beginner through advanced levels, and also welcomes adult students. Instructor pay is $22–$28 per hour, commensurate with experience. A 401(k) program with employer matching is available after 30 days on the job, and health benefit options are available to part-time and full-time employees.
Requirements
- A strong music background demonstrated by a degree in music performance, music education, or pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for teaching.
- Experience working with young musicians.
- Punctuality.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a routine background check.
Nice To Haves
