Piano Teacher - Louisville, KY
About The Position
Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional piano instructor to teach in person on a part-time basis in Louisville, Kentucky. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach pianists from beginner through advanced levels. Teachers may set their availability within the school’s open hours, with preference for availability on Mondays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The position is with Kentucky Arts Academy, which offers lessons in piano and other instruments to children ages six and up and to adults, across beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and ranges from $22 to $28 per hour. A 401(k) program with employer matching is available to employees after 30 days on the job, and health benefit options are available to part- and full-time employees.
Requirements
- A strong music background demonstrated by a degree in music performance, music education, or pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience.
- Demonstrated love of teaching.
- Experience working with young musicians.
- Punctuality.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a routine background check.
