Piano Teacher - Louisville, KY
About The Position
Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional piano instructor to teach in person on a part-time basis in Louisville, Kentucky. The instructor will teach piano students, with preference given to candidates who can teach beginner through advanced levels. Teachers set their availability within the school’s open hours; consistent availability is valued, and preference is given to candidates available Mondays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The position is with Kentucky Arts Academy, which offers lessons in piano, guitar, voice, drums, and other instruments to children ages six and up and welcomes adult students. The academy serves students at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and ranges from $22 to $28 per hour. A 401(k) program with employer matching is available after 30 days on the job. Health benefit options are available to part-time and full-time employees. Requirements
- Strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance, music education, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience.
- Demonstrated love of teaching.
- Experience working with young musicians.
- Punctuality.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a routine background check.
