Instructor (Music Private Lessons) - Solon Center for the Arts - Part-Time
About The Position
Solon Center for the Arts is hiring part-time private music lesson instructors for piano and voice. Lessons are taught in person on Mondays, Wednesdays, and/or Thursdays, with approximately 5–15+ hours per week depending on enrollment. Instructors work with students of all ages and skill levels and prepare students for seasonal winter and spring recitals, which instructors are expected to attend on Saturdays and/or Sundays. The starting rate is $28.00 per hour. Compensation will be determined based on education, performance, and teaching experience. Applicants must submit an application and resume online. Requirements
- A minimum of two years of experience working as a music instructor or teacher.
- A bachelor’s degree in Music or Music Education from an accredited institution, or related work or performance experience equivalent to such a degree.
- Professionalism and leadership qualities in and out of the classroom.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities
- Create, plan, and prepare lessons and provide weekly one-on-one instruction.
- Prepare students for seasonal winter and spring recitals.
- Attend seasonal recitals, held on Saturdays and/or Sundays.
