About The Position

The Multi-Site Quoter prepares, communicates, and tracks quoting activities internally and externally across supported ARCH Cutting Tools business units. The position serves as a flexible, cross-site resource and develops a working understanding of each location’s manufacturing capabilities, equipment, processes, costs, and quoting requirements. It is remote, with a preference for candidates located in the Midwest or Northeast. The role responds to requests for quotes, coordinates with Sales, Engineering, and Supply Chain to gather information, prepares quote-review materials, obtains outside sourcing quotes as needed, and schedules quote reviews with senior management. It completes quote entry, sends final quotes to customers by deadlines, maintains the quote database, and tracks and analyzes won and lost jobs. The position also uses internal financial resources and external market data in quoting and communicates new jobs and customers to appropriate personnel. The Multi-Site Quoter travels to business units as needed for hands-on training, maintains relationships and regular communication across locations, and provides quoting support during increased workloads or staffing shortages. The role shares best practices and identifies opportunities to address quoting or process gaps and improve alignment across sites. Over time, the individual is expected to quote work independently for multiple business units while applying the relevant site-specific capabilities, processes, costs, and standards. Candidates should have an associate degree in a relevant field or a combination of education and relevant work experience, at least four years of similar experience at a manufacturing company, machining or relevant technical experience, and customer-facing experience. The role also requires professional written and verbal communication, practical mathematical and problem-solving ability, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, and ERP system experience.
