About The Position
At East Alabama Medical Center, the mission is to provide high-quality, compassionate health care. The Multi Care Tech (MCT) assists professional nursing staff in caring for patients while supporting their safety, comfort, and therapeutic environment. The MCT helps patients with activities of daily living, takes vital signs and other indicated specimens or measures, documents observations as needed, and promptly updates the primary nurse about deviations from normal parameters. The MCT works as part of a team with professional staff to support the smooth operation of the unit.
Requirements
- High school diploma or 10 years of relevant experience.
- BLS certification within 90 days of date of hire or transfer.
Nice To Haves
- Graduation from a certified nursing assistant program or certified medical assistant program.
- One year of experience in an acute care facility.
Responsibilities
- Assist professional nursing staff with patient care, considering patient safety, comfort, and the therapeutic environment.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
- Take vital signs and other indicated specimens or measures.
- Document observations as needed.
- Update the primary nurse in a timely manner about deviations from normal parameters.
- Work with professional staff as a team to contribute to the smooth running of the unit.
