About The Position

This individual is responsible for processing specimens, performing tests, and reporting test results. Testing may include waived, moderate, and high-complexity tests as authorized by the Director. The role also participates in quality-control procedures and complies with departmental quality-assurance and quality-management standards, including applicable JCAHO, CAP, CLIA, and other agency requirements. Specimen collection is performed as necessary.

The position is listed at Franciscan Health Indianapolis, 8111 S. Emerson Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46237. The schedule is three 12-hour shifts per week, with every-third-weekend and weekend and/or holiday rotation.

Requirements

• For MLT: Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
• For MT: Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology from an accredited college or university, or bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of pertinent full-time clinical laboratory experience or training is preferred.
