About The Position

This individual is responsible for specimen processing, performing tests, and reporting test results. Testing includes waived, moderate, and high-complexity tests as authorized by the Director. The role reports results according to established procedures and participates in quality-control procedures, complying with departmental quality-assurance and quality-management standards and applicable JCAHO, CAP, CLIA, and other agency requirements. Specimen collection is performed as necessary.

The position is based at Franciscan Health Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana, and is scheduled for 40 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts. The schedule includes every-third-weekend and weekend and/or holiday rotation.

Requirements

• For MLT: Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
• For MT: Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited college or university, or a bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of pertinent full-time clinical laboratory experience or training is preferred.
