MT/MLT/Laboratory Scientist: 40 Hours per Week (AM/PM)

About The Position

This individual is responsible for specimen processing, test performance, and reporting test results. Testing includes waived, moderate, and high-complexity tests as authorized by the Director. The role reports all test results according to established procedures, participates fully in quality control procedures, and complies with departmental quality assurance and quality management standards, as well as applicable JCAHO, CAP, CLIA, and other agency requirements. Specimen collection is performed as necessary.

The position is listed at Franciscan Health Indianapolis, 8111 S. Emerson Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46237. The schedule is 40 hours per week, worked in three 12-hour shifts per week, with every-third-weekend and weekend and/or holiday rotation.

Requirements

• For MLT: Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
• For MT: Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited college or university, or a bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of pertinent full-time clinical laboratory experience or training is preferred.
