About The Position

Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH) is a private, nonprofit, community-based healthcare system serving a 22-county region in North Florida and South Georgia. It has more than 6,000 colleagues and operates a 772-bed acute care hospital, specialty care centers, a psychiatric hospital, six residency programs, and more than 50 affiliated physician practices.

The Physician Practice Rep is the first point of contact with patients and is responsible for front office reception, appointment scheduling and follow-up, data entry, billing, copying or scanning, and monitoring and replenishing supplies. The role requires excellent customer service and the ability to multitask. It reports to the Patient Services Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of job-related experience, including previous experience demonstrating direct customer service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate basic office equipment, including a fax machine, printer, copier, and scanner.
• Computer proficiency and knowledge of medical terminology.

Nice To Haves

• Some post-high-school coursework, such as customer service or business coursework.
• 2 or more years of job-related experience, including previous experience demonstrating direct customer service.
