MS/Physician Practice Rep I
About The Position
Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare is a private, nonprofit community-based healthcare system serving a 22-county region in North Florida and South Georgia. The system has more than 6,000 colleagues, a 772-bed acute care hospital, a psychiatric hospital, multiple specialty care centers, six residency programs, and more than 50 affiliated physician practices. The Physician Practice Rep I is the first point of contact with patients and provides front-office support in a physician practice. The role requires excellent customer service and multitasking skills. Responsibilities include reception, appointment scheduling, follow-up, data entry, billing, copying or scanning, and monitoring and fulfilling supply needs. The position reports to the Patient Services Manager and supervises no staff.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of job-related experience, including previous experience demonstrating direct customer service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate basic office equipment, including a fax machine, printer, copier, and scanner.
- Computer proficiency.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Some post-high-school coursework, such as customer service or business.
- At least 2 years of job-related experience, including previous experience demonstrating direct customer service.
Responsibilities
