About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking an MRI Technologist for the MRI Department at Baptist Downtown in Jacksonville, Florida. This full-time, day-shift role works Wednesday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The technologist performs MRI examinations, operates MRI equipment, prepares patients and explains procedures, and works with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information while ensuring patient safety.

Requirements

Vocational school education.
One of the following credentials is required: American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT); Registered Technologist in Radiography (ARRT (R)); Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT); or Registered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT (MR)).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
If holding CRT or ARRT (R), obtain ARRT (MRI) registry within 18 months of hire.

Perform high-quality MRI procedures.

Maintain compliance with mandatory education and health requirements.
Take precautions to protect oneself, patients, and others from potential harm related to the magnetic field.
Identify, prepare, administer, and document medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner and in accordance with state and federal regulations or lawful institutional policy.
