About The Position
Loyola Medicine is hiring a full-time MRI Technologist for an evening shift at its Maywood, Illinois location. The schedule is 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends and rotating on-call duties. The role supports a growing MRI imaging program in an academic medical center and involves delivering patient-centered care using advanced MRI technology.
Requirements
- Associate of Applied Science degree in Radiologic Technology.
- MRI Technologist certification through ARRT MRI or ARMRIT.
- American Heart Association CPR certification (CPR only).
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI exams according to established protocols and ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
- Operate MRI equipment safely, troubleshoot basic issues, and maintain imaging systems in a ready state.
- Prepare exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and procedure trays to support efficient workflow.
- Assist radiologists with special procedures and administer contrast media according to departmental guidelines.
- Keep rooms clean and organized, stock supplies, and support quick room turnover.
- Promote a safe environment for patients and staff through appropriate screening and adherence to safety standards.
