About The Position

Loyola Medicine is hiring an MRI Technologist for an evening-shift role in Maywood, Illinois. The position is scheduled from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends and rotating on-call coverage. The technologist performs MRI exams according to established protocols, operates and maintains imaging equipment, supports radiologists with special procedures, and helps provide a safe, efficient, patient-centered imaging environment. The role is part of a growing MRI imaging program at an academic medical center and offers a collaborative team setting with opportunities for cross-training, continuous learning, and professional growth. Applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

Associate’s degree; AAS in Radiologic Technology required.
MRI Technologist certification: ARRT MRI or ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists).
AHA CPR certification (American Heart Association—CPR only).
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

Perform MRI exams according to established protocols and ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
Operate MRI equipment safely, troubleshoot basic issues, and maintain readiness of imaging systems.
Prepare exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and procedure trays to support efficient workflow.
Assist radiologists with special procedures and administer contrast media according to departmental guidelines.
Maintain clean and organized rooms, stock supplies, and support quick room turnover.
Promote a safe environment for patients and staff through proper screening and adherence to safety standards.
