MRI Technologist/FT-Evenings/Miami Valley South
About The Position

This position independently performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media. The technologist works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. They coordinate patient flow and the activities of the MRI scanner, including MRI safe practices. The role requires exercising professional judgment in the performance of duties to maintain equipment in good working condition. The technologist may perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs and may have on-call responsibilities.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Allied Health.
- Medical Imaging Sciences to include additional MRI physics coursework or completed within 6 months of hire.
- ARRT RT (R) registry or ARMRIT registry required.
- Must not have any contraindications to MRI environment.
- Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work under stressful conditions which may occur in emergency situations or with a heavy workload.
Nice To Haves
- ODH licensure preferred.
- One year MRI experience preferred.
