About The Position

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the MRI Technologist performs diagnostic MR exams using appropriate imaging equipment and techniques. The role follows Beaumont’s philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.

The position is based at Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital, a 305-bed teaching facility with Level II trauma status. It is a full-time evening-shift role scheduled for 40 hours per week, with variable work hours and days and every fourth weekend.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent.
• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiography program or a JRCNMT-accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• 1 year of relevant experience.
• Hold one of the listed qualifying credentials upon hire: ARRT certification as an MRI technologist, radiation therapist, radiographer, sonographer, or nuclear medicine technologist; ARDMS certification as a sonographer, vascular technologist, or musculoskeletal technologist; NMTCB certification as a nuclear medicine technologist; or ARMRIT certification as an MRI technologist. The posting marks ARMRIT as preferred and the other listed initial credentials as required.
• Obtain ARRT MRI board registry certification or ARMRIT board registry certification within 1 year from the date of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• 1–3 years of clinical experience beyond the staff radiographer level.
• ARMRIT certification upon hire.
