About The Position

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the MRI Technologist performs diagnostic MR exams using appropriate imaging equipment and techniques. The role follows Beaumont’s philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times. The position is based at Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital, a 305-bed teaching facility with Level II trauma status.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent.
• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiography program or a JRCNMT-accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• One year of relevant experience.
• Upon hire, hold one of the listed qualifying credentials: ARRT MRI, ARRT Radiation Therapist, ARRT Radiographer, ARRT or ARDMS Sonographer, ARRT Nuclear Medicine Technologist, NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technologist, ARDMS Vascular Technologist, or ARDMS Musculoskeletal credential; alternatively, ARMRIT certification is listed as preferred.
• Obtain ARRT MRI or ARMRIT board registry certification within one year from the date of hire.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• One to three years of clinical experience beyond staff radiographer level.
• ARMRIT certification upon hire.
