About The Position

U-Haul is seeking a responsible, motivated, and thoughtful person to learn how to manage a moving and storage center. The General Manager Trainee learns how to operate rental facilities profitably and efficiently by tracking inventory, managing equipment, and solving problems as they arise. The work is varied, fast-paced, and rewarding. The position is located at 27941 Jefferson Av, Temecula, California 92590. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. The role includes paid hands-on working interviews, a $100 hiring bonus, and a $300 cash bonus upon completion of U-Haul Equipment Inspection and Verification through the 1-2-3 Punch Certification Program at retail stores. U-Haul states that it does not hire or re-hire nicotine-product users in certain listed states; California is not among those states. Requirements

1–3 years of management experience in retail or another service industry, with responsibility for financial results and customer satisfaction.
Computer expertise.
Organizational expertise.
Management proficiency in high-volume retail with profit and loss (P&L) accountability.
Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work weekends and holidays.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Manage the fleet to deliver clean and well-maintained equipment.
Track and itemize inventory.
Ensure that customers receive the highest quality of care.
Keep track of fuel receipts and petty cash.
Clean and monitor the premises and maintain a secure environment.
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
