Moving Center General Manager Trainee
About The Position
U-Haul is seeking a responsible, motivated, and thoughtful General Manager Trainee to learn how to manage a moving and storage center. The role provides hands-on experience in making rental facilities profitable and efficient through inventory tracking and equipment management, while resolving operational problems. Managing a center is varied, fast-paced, and rewarding work. The hiring process includes two paid, hands-on working interviews. The posting also offers a $100 hiring bonus and a $300 cash bonus upon completion of U-Haul Equipment Inspection and Verification through the 1-2-3 Punch Certification Program at retail stores. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. The position is located at 27941 Jefferson Av, Temecula, California 92590.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of management experience in retail or another service industry, with responsibility for financial results and customer satisfaction.
- Computer expertise.
- Organizational expertise.
- Management proficiency in high-volume retail with profit and loss (P&L) accountability.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Able to work weekends and holidays.
- Legally authorized to work without requiring employer sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Manage the fleet to deliver clean and well-maintained equipment.
- Track and itemize inventory.
- Ensure customers receive the highest quality of care.
- Keep track of fuel receipts and petty cash.
- Clean and monitor the premises and maintain a secure environment.
- Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
