About The Position

Zippy Shell is hiring a Moving Associate to help customers with household moves. The role involves preparing furniture and client items, packing and loading household goods into trucks and containers, and helping protect customers’ homes and belongings from damage. Associates are expected to provide exceptional customer service, learn from coaching, and share their knowledge and experience with others. The position offers compensation of $16 to $18 based on experience and performance, plus performance-based weekly and monthly bonuses and daily tips.

Requirements

• Ability to interact positively and professionally with customers, employees, and vendors.
• Ability to climb stairs daily.
• Ability to move furniture and lift up to 75 pounds.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and reassemble furniture and client items using basic hand tools.
• Load trucks and containers with household goods.
• Pack items carefully to ensure safe transportation during moves.
• Pay attention to detail and proactively mitigate damage and risks to clients’ homes and belongings.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients.
• Be coachable and willing to learn, and share knowledge and experience with others.
