Movie Theater Employee - Smith Rafael Film Center
About The Position
CAFILM is seeking part-time employees to work at the Smith Rafael Film Center in downtown San Rafael or the Sequoia Cinema in downtown Mill Valley. The role welcomes high school and college students and offers an opportunity to gain customer service experience on a student-friendly schedule. Employees receive free popcorn and soda and a few free tickets to CAFILM films. Expected hours are 5–20 per week, and pay is $17.00. The job description is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned as needed. Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to movie theater patrons.
- Sell tickets and concessions, including food and beverages.
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining theater premises.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Help ensure guests' safety and comfort during their visit.
- Assist with event management.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and conflicts professionally.
- Assist with crowd control during busy periods or special events.
