Mover Packer - Fairbanks
About The Position
The Mover Packer supports military relocation services by helping move families onto and off military bases. As part of a team, the employee packs, loads, and delivers household belongings safely and without damage. This is a physical, safety-sensitive seasonal position involving time-sensitive work outdoors in extreme weather. Schedules average 40 hours per week, with overtime as scheduled. The seasonal work period is May through September, with the possibility of joining before May. The role starts at $21 per hour and is hourly, non-exempt. Career advancement may be possible to a non-CDL driving role and then to a CDL-A driving position, if qualified.
Requirements
- Safely and repeatedly lift 75 pounds.
- Pass a physical, pre-employment drug screen, and criminal background check.
- Obtain and maintain base access.
- Read and write English and understand traffic signs and signals.
- Communicate clearly with customers, crew, and dispatch.
