About The Position

The Mountain Sky Associate provides excellent customer service while carrying out shift duties such as cashiering, store maintenance, stocking, inventory, and food preparation. The role requires following procedures and schedules, supporting teamwork, completing shift documentation, and adapting to changing duties and work volumes. Associates must follow responsible alcohol service requirements, food safety and sanitation practices, and equipment safety procedures. The position involves working in a fast-paced, hot environment, standing and walking for extended periods, and working all shifts and holidays. The job is based at Cahuilla Casino Hotel in Anza, California. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and qualify for a Cahuilla Gaming License, including an extensive background security check. A pre-employment drug test is required, with periodic testing thereafter. If applicants do not meet the stated qualifications, an applicant with less education or experience may be considered if they submit and complete a formal written training plan agreed upon with their supervisor.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must qualify for a Cahuilla Gaming License, including an extensive background security check.
Must pass a pre-employment drug test; drug testing may also occur periodically after employment.
Knowledge of and commitment to proper sanitation and food-preparation procedures, including casino and department handbook, HACCP, and OSHA requirements.
Organized and attentive to detail.
Ability to be a team player and motivator.
Professional verbal and non-verbal communication.
Ability to work with the equipment used to perform the job.
Ability to work all shifts and holidays and to be flexible and punctual as scheduled.
Ability to complete the 90-day introductory period on consecutive scheduled days.
Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift and adapt to changing demands and work volumes.
Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds and carry up to 40 pounds from ground to overhead.
Ability to lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level.
Ability to push or pull with the arms using up to 20 pounds of force.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks and follow changing procedures, duties, and responsibilities.
Ability to follow food safety, equipment safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene requirements.

Responsibilities

Greet customers kindly, provide friendly and fast service, maintain a fresh appearance, thank customers, and help resolve problems.
Ring up sales accurately using the POS and handle cash, debit, and credit transactions.
Perform cleaning duties to maintain cleanliness inside and outside the site.
Follow applicable ABC laws for responsible alcohol sales.
Complete required shift, sales, and reporting documents.
Promote teamwork and cooperation with supervisors and coworkers.
Stock shelves, manage inventory, and set up displays when needed.
Notify the Manager or Assistant Manager about equipment issues.
Attend job-related meetings and follow procedures, schedules, and assignments.
Prepare food according to basic recipes, cooking methods, food-handler guidelines, and safety requirements.
Operate, break down, clean, and reassemble kitchen equipment safely; use sharp objects to cut or peel food.
Follow sanitation practices, safe food storage and handling procedures, and proper closing and station-cleanup procedures.
Label and date stored food, rotate items as needed, and report ordering needs or spoiled products to a supervisor.
Perform other duties as required or assigned by management.
