About The Position

The Mountain School Operational Lead supports the daily operations of Snowbird’s ski and snowboard school in a fast-paced indoor and outdoor environment. The role combines guest service, instructor support, lesson and equipment logistics, and coordination with other resort departments. The position requires physical stamina, mental focus, emotional resilience, and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure while working with children and adults. The role is full-time, hourly, and seasonal, with a four-day schedule. Shifts vary and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Two workdays support indoor operations and two support outdoor operations. The season typically runs from mid-November to mid-April. Work takes place indoors and outdoors in winter conditions; early canyon travel may be necessary for avalanche control or road closures, and overnight stays at the resort may be needed because of weather or road conditions.
