About The Position

Leo Tech LLC is seeking a Motor Vehicle Mechanic to perform management and administrative functions for maintaining special/general purpose vehicle fleets, weapon systems fleets, organizational equipment, shop equipment, and vehicle maintenance buildings. This role is critical to providing a safe and serviceable vehicle fleet for the Silver Flag Exercise training site. The ideal candidate will be fully trained, professional, customer-service oriented, and ensure quality work performance in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, standards, and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience as a Motor Vehicle Mechanic in Fleet Maintenance or Fleet Vehicle Management.
  • Must be able to pass a National Criminal History Check (NCHC).
  • Have a current ASE Certification.
  • Have a valid Driver's License.
  • Have a Class A Commercial Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

  • US Air Force Experience in Vehicle Fleet Management at USAF Combat Readiness Training Center (CRTC) or Redhorse Training Location.

Responsibilities

  • Use computerized diagnostic tools and visual inspections to identify mechanical problems in vehicles, including checking engine performance, electrical systems, and other critical components.
  • Repair or replace faulty parts and systems once issues are diagnosed, which can involve working on engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake services, and engine tune-ups to ensure vehicles remain in optimal condition.
  • Communicate with customers to explain repairs needed, provide estimates, and advise on maintenance procedures, including keeping customers informed about new technologies and repair techniques.
  • Perform safety inspections mandated by state regulations to ensure vehicles meet safety standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs and services performed, which is essential for tracking vehicle history and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Train and mentor junior mechanics or apprentices, sharing knowledge and skills to enhance the overall competency of the team.
