About The Position

Leo Tech LLC is seeking a Heavy Mechanic to perform all management and administrative functions for maintaining the special/general purpose vehicle fleet, weapon systems fleet, organizational equipment, shop equipment, and vehicle maintenance buildings. This role provides services dedicated to ensuring a safe and serviceable vehicle fleet that is critical to the success of the Silver Flag Exercise training site. The ideal candidate will be fully trained, professional, and customer-service oriented, ensuring quality work performance in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, standards, and guidelines. Requirements

  • Three years of experience as a Heavy Mechanic in Fleet Maintenance or Fleet Vehicle Management
  • Must be able to pass a National Criminal History Check (NCHC)
  • Have a current ASE Certification
  • Have a valid Driver's License
  • Have a Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • Minimum of a high school diploma

Nice To Haves

  • US Air Force Experience in Vehicle Fleet Management at USAF Combat Readiness Training Center (CRTC) or Redhorse Training Location

Responsibilities

  • Examine machinery such as bulldozers, cranes, excavators, and loaders to detect faults or malfunctions using visual checks, technical manuals, and computerized diagnostic tools
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, lubrication, and hydraulic system checks to prevent breakdowns
  • Perform both minor and major repairs on engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and undercarriage parts. This includes dismantling faulty parts, replacing or repairing components, and testing machinery after repairs
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure accurate repairs and adjustments
  • Work with operators, other mechanics, and management to understand equipment issues, maintain repair schedules, and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Maintain detailed logs of maintenance, repairs, and parts used, and report issues to supervisors or project managers
  • Follow safety protocols, wear proper personal protective equipment, and maintain a clean and safe workspace
