About The Position
The Mortgage Loan Processor works closely with borrowers, loan originators, underwriters, and lenders to ensure loan files are accurate, complete, and up to date. The processor communicates relevant information to all parties involved, provides customers with periodic updates on their applications, and serves as an initial contact for the loan program. The role also involves maintaining records and protecting customer and company confidential information.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a loan office environment.
- Microsoft Office skills.
Responsibilities
- Process documents for each loan file to verify their accuracy and completeness.
- Act as a liaison for borrowers, underwriters, loan originators, and lenders.
- Prepare fund request documents for wiring funds to closing, commitment letters, and denial letters; cancel files when appropriate.
- Provide customers with updated and periodic information regarding their loan applications.
- Serve as the initial contact person for the loan program and respond to calls and emails promptly.
- Collect required applicant documentation and follow up by phone or email to obtain missing information.
- Maintain and update files, databases, and records.
- Ensure files are complete and meet company compliance standards.
- Protect customers’ non-public personal information and keep company confidential information confidential.
- Generate reports on loan files efficiently.
