About The Position

Responsible for reviewing mortgage files to ensure applications, documentation, processes, and broker activities meet Australian lending, compliance, and internal quality standards.

Requirements

Experience in Australian mortgage broking, preferably in a QA, compliance, loan processing, or broker support role.
Good understanding of Australian lending and mortgage compliance requirements.
Strong knowledge of loan documentation and the end-to-end mortgage process.
High attention to detail and ability to identify errors or missing information.
Comfortable reviewing multiple files and working against deadlines.
Strong communication skills when providing feedback to brokers.

Nice To Haves

Experience with mortgage CRMs such as Infynity, Mercury, AOL, MyCRM, or similar is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Review loan files before submission and/or settlement to ensure all required documents and information are complete and accurate.
Check applications against lender requirements and Australian mortgage compliance standards.
Review broker notes, client information, supporting documents, and compliance records for accuracy and completeness.
Check that income, liabilities, expenses, assets, and other financial information have been correctly captured and supported.
Identify missing information, errors, inconsistencies, or potential compliance issues and raise these with the broker.
Conduct regular quality checks/audits on completed and in-progress loan files.
Ensure required compliance documents, disclosures, consents, and records are properly completed and stored.
Monitor whether brokers are following the correct processes and SOPs.
Track identified errors or recurring issues and provide feedback to brokers and management.
Assist with improving processes and updating SOPs where recurring issues are identified.
Maintain quality and compliance reports and provide updates on findings and trends.
Follow up on outstanding compliance items and ensure they are resolved within the required timeframe.
Support the team with compliance-related queries and help clarify process requirements.
