About The Position

Squatters Downtown Pub is seeking a dependable Morning Janitor / Restaurant Cleaner to keep its Downtown Pub clean and ready for service before guests arrive. The role involves routine and scheduled deep cleaning across dining areas, bar floors, restrooms, stairways, elevators, and other assigned spaces. The cleaner follows established checklists, sanitation and chemical-handling procedures, and building access and security procedures, and reports maintenance, supply, or safety concerns to restaurant leadership. Employee meal discounts are offered.

Requirements

Reliable attendance and punctuality for morning shifts.
Attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, welcoming restaurant.
Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and complete tasks on time.
Ability to safely use cleaning products and equipment after training.
Ability to perform active cleaning work, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and using stairs, with reasonable accommodation as applicable.

Nice To Haves

Janitorial, restaurant, or commercial cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain dining areas, bar floors, restrooms, stairways, elevators, and other assigned spaces.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, carpets, and mats.
Clean and disinfect restroom fixtures, surfaces, and frequently touched areas.
Empty trash and replenish restroom supplies.
Keep cleaning supplies and equipment organized.
Complete routine cleaning and scheduled deep cleaning using established checklists.
Follow safe chemical-handling and sanitation procedures.
Check completed work and report maintenance, supply, or safety concerns to restaurant leadership.
Follow procedures for accessing and securing the building.
