About The Position

Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-care equipment and cleaning across the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms. The associate follows company policies and standards for customer experience, safety, merchandising, operations, and loss prevention, and may be cross-trained in other store areas to support business needs. The position is located at TJ Maxx Store 0476, 3963 Everhard Rd NW, Canton, Ohio. Starting pay is $13.50 to $14.00 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Operate the scrubber and buffer and perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning of glass and windows.
Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including the maintenance and operation of the scrubber and buffer.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
Follow company Health and Safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor, to support business needs.
Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
Follow the merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Follow operational and loss prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink-reduction practices.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including Associate meal and break-period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Model customer-experience practices with internal and external customers and support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Perform other duties as assigned.
